Marti J. Cizek • President

Marti has been in the executive search business since 1987 and works extensively with client companies in the technology, consumer products, health care, manufacturing, financial services and nonprofit industries. She leads the firm’s higher education specialty practice. She has successfully filled various and numerous executive positions, ranging from President and CEO to specialized technical directors.

Before founding CIZEK ASSOCIATES Marti spent several years with a prominent retained executive search firm in Phoenix, expanding their technology practice. Previous experience includes 5 years with an Arizona computer retailer where she was responsible for sales and marketing before a promotion to General Manager. After pursuing a Bachelors and Masters in Industrial Psychology, she co-founded an entrepreneurial company involved in the domestic wholesale distribution of Oriental brass and copper and finished leather goods from Mexico.

Sheila Lehker • Senior Vice President

Since 1996, Sheila has worked in the human resources field, gaining broad experience consulting with senior leadership regarding their most important asset, their people. Sheila’s experience stems from holding strategic and operational positions within service, wholesale and retail industries. Prior to joining Cizek Associates, Sheila’s experience focused on organizational consulting work including assessment, top talent recruiting, and executive coaching.

She has owned successful consultancies including a search firm serving aerospace, technology, manufacturing and higher education. She has worked for two premier global consultancy firms, Lee Hecht Harrison and Right Management, specializing in helping businesses execute plans to develop people resources, maximize performance and successfully drive profits. With an early background in marketing and sales, administration and operations, Sheila successfully partnered in the formulation of two startup/expansion businesses and was instrumental in growing those businesses to become recognized leaders in their industries.

Sheila holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management and is pursuing a Master’s degree in organizational management with a focus on leadership development. She is an active volunteer in the community, presenting to young adults, and women’s and business groups, on a variety of topics and interests.

Edward G. Linskey • Senior Vice President

Ed recruits senior line and finance executives both nationally and internationally. His practice includes large and small technology firms as well as Fortune 1000 clients in all industries.

Ed is a seasoned business executive with a prior background in both line and financial management. Recruited to Personalized Software Manufacturing as Chief Financial Officer, he prepared the business for an IPO. Ultimately, Ed participated in the due diligence and sale of the business to CMGI, an Internet and technology based corporation in Boston. Earlier, he helped found a startup specializing in the rental and lease of high tech test equipment. The firm grew to over $250 mm in assets and was acquired by a NYSE company. With Bechtel, Inc. in San Francisco, Ed was a Certified Cost Engineer for large international projects in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia and, early in his career, worked in Paris for Mobil Oil Francaise. Ed remains active in the Army reserves as a Brigidiar General and has extensive experience in the Foreign Area Officer Program.

Ed is a Past President of Financial Executives International, Santa Clara, CA chapter. While a member of the FEI Board of Directors, he chaired a committee responsible for the successful placement of over 125 financial executives during a five-year period.

John T. Cizek • Principal/Senior Advisor

John Cizek has over forty years experience in Human Resource work encompassing functional leadership responsibilities with manufacturing companies and retained executive search firms. His duties have included individual assessment, succession planning, intermediate to senior level recruiting and business development.

Except for a four-year period when he was recruited back into corporate Human Resource Management with the Marmon Group, he has spent the last thirty-five years in retained executive search. As a Vice President with A.T. Kearney and subsequently, with Erwin Associates and his own firm, he has handled search assignments ranging from company presidents and general managers to functional heads in sales, marketing, operations, finance and human resources. His early experience included individual assessment work, employment and recruiting and divisional personnel management in manufacturing firms.

John has a M.A. Degree from the State University of Iowa, with a course concentration in experimental psychology, aptitude and personality assessment. His undergraduate B.S. Degree is from the University of Illinois, with majors in psychology and general science.
